Agency Dominion ‘Save A Polar Bear’ Holiday 2009 Website

For the 2009 Holiday Season we created the ‘Save A Polar Bear’ campaign. visit savethebears.agencydominion.com

We mailed out custom holiday cards each with a unique ‘polar pin’, recipients were encouraged to visit savethebears.agencydominion.com to redeem their gift (World Wildlife Fund symbolic Polar Bear sponsorship). There are well over 100 polar bears that can be sponsored, each time a pin is redeemed a new bear is placed on the landscape so check back often to see the landscape fill with beautiful polar bears.

About the Landscape.

The Artic Landscape was hand built by the Agency Dominion team on top of our boardroom table. It took over the office for a good week but it was a heck of a lot of fun and it’s all for charity! The landscape itself was created using a collection of office supplies, including paper, card stock, paper clips, paper weights and a series of printed miniature polar bears. It took us a while but the effect is awesome and it’s 100% handmade!

How do you get a Polar Pin?

In order to participate you must have received a Polar Pin in the mail. If you did not receive a polar pin but really want to have a polar bear added in your name simply post a comment to this blog post and tell us why you love polar bears. We’ll give away Polar Pins to the first 5 comments.

Happy Holidays from John, Steve, Ashleigh, Pete and Kevin at Agency Dominion!

Agency Dominion Featured in .Net Magazine

Agency Dominion was featured in the August 2009 of .Net Magazine

We were thrilled to receive an email from Tom May (@tom_may ) who is the operations editor over at .Net letting us know that our Le Meridien Etoile ‘A Star is Reborn’ Site was being featured in the /Showcase section - described as ‘This month’s selection of sublime design and creative opinion’ - of the magazine.

Here’s what the article had to say:

Le Méridien Hotel is one of Paris’s most prestigious hotels and it clearly needed a site worth shouting about. Yes, there are the obvious pro photos of the hotel’s chic interior, but this site is as much focused on exploring as it is about promoting. The homepage is reminiscent of a planetarium, looking up to the stars. The buttons for the main menu also bend spherically as if they were at the top of a planetarium’s dome. It’s an odd landing page for a hotel site, but once you start sampling the content you see how the idea stems from the ultra-modern lobby of the hotel itself. Each major room in the hotel is decorated individually and so each content area on the site reflects that, with its own way of displaying and navigating the content.
